We’re baaaaaaack!
Welcome to the NEW liheap.org blog. For over 15 years we’ve been documenting developments in the LIHEAP community with a particular emphasis on policy debates on Capitol Hill. We are proud to be back in 2020 with three specific areas of focus:
Policy debates in Washington including close tracking of the Congressional process to fund the program;
Profiles of community leaders and advocate who inspire and challenge us through their public engagement, field innovations and tireless advocacy; and
Special events and gatherings of LIHEAP champions including LIHEAP Action Day and the annual conference
We hope you will find the blog informational, easy to read and full of ideas for how to advance LIHEAP’s cause at home and in Washington. We will also be publishing longer pieces on special topics, including an updated LIHEAP primer for those new to the program.
